D1 Interviews at Steelworker's Rally

DATE: Decmber 1, 1999
WHERE: Waterfront, Downtown Seattle, WA
VIDEOGRAPHER CREDIT: Brian Jones

The Steelworkers had a rally outside the Protest-Free zone down on the waterfront but then marched up into the city. They were aware that their "mainstream" presence might help what was happening to other groups who were up there already.

The police teargassed the crowd, splitting them up into factions. One faction was pushed down 1st to Broad Street where there is boxed in block trapping protesters. A mass arrest occurred here as well.
